Preservation Action, founded in 1974, is a non-profit lobbying group based in Washington D.C., that advocates for historic preservation at the national, regional, and local levels. The Preservation Action records consist of correspondence, minutes, reports, photographs, and research files related to the work of the organization. Preservation Action serves as an advocate for the historic preservation movement and actively lobbies Congress on issues of concern to the preservation field. The collection is unprocessed, but preliminary inventories of additional accessions are available.
